Cosmos Institute
Tocqueville & Technology
At the historic Château de Tocqueville in Normandy, Human Focus Films documented a unique gathering of philosophers, AI researchers, entrepreneurs and students exploring one of today’s most important questions: how can artificial intelligence strengthen, rather than diminish, human autonomy?
Working with the Cosmos Institute and Jonathan Bi, we captured three days of lectures, debates, interviews and intimate conversations, preserving not only the ideas being shared but also the atmosphere that made the event so distinctive. Our team delivered a complete multi-camera production, combining cinematic interviews, live event coverage, documentary-style b-roll and high-quality audio recording to create a versatile library of content for long-form films, social media and future educational projects.
The production involved extensive planning and logistics, including an international crew, location management, multi-camera filming, data management and rapid post-production delivery, allowing the editorial team to begin working with the footage almost immediately.
Projects like this demonstrate how documentary filmmaking can help organisations communicate complex ideas in a way that feels human, engaging and visually compelling. Whether the subject is philosophy, artificial intelligence, education or public discourse, our focus is always the same: capturing authentic moments that allow audiences to think, connect and act.
