Important conversations should not disappear when the event ends
Cosmos Institute brought together philosophers, AI researchers, founders, investors and students at the Château de Tocqueville in Normandy to explore a difficult question: what happens to human autonomy as AI becomes increasingly embedded in how we think and make decisions? The intellectual value of an event like this exists in the conversations. The communication challenge is making that value accessible to the much larger audience who cannot be there. Our production was therefore designed around preservation and reuse.
We captured lectures, discussions, interviews and documentary moments across the gathering using a multi-camera workflow and dedicated sound recording. The production system was built not simply around filming the event, but around creating an organised library of material that could move quickly into editing and support future long-form, educational and social content.
The result is a lasting body of communication around ideas that might otherwise have existed only for the people inside the room. Cosmos describes the gathering as bringing thinkers, builders and investors together to consider Tocqueville’s ideas in relation to AI and human autonomy.
